Michel van Roon MSc
Founder & CEO, Novatrade24
Michel van Roon is the founder and CEO of Novatrade24 and has worked in used car retail and remarketing for more than 30 years. Michel van Roon writes about VAT and AML compliance in cross-border vehicle trade, residual values and used car retail strategy. He was Manager Used Cars at General Motors Netherlands and Opel Benelux. He then founded and led CRM automotive retail for 27 years, a consultancy whose clients included BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Volvo, Avis and VW Bank. He was also part of the early CarNext team that rolled out LeasePlan's used car retail network across Europe. In 2012 he co-founded GO Remarketing Solutions, the company behind the remarketing platform Used Car Controller. With Novatrade24 he now tackles what holds back cross-border trade today: VAT and anti-money-laundering compliance.
